1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how TollPH (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our free Philippine expressway toll calculator and related pages (the “Service”). We designed TollPH as a trip-planning tool. We aim to collect as little personal data as reasonably possible.

If you use the Service from the Philippines, this Policy is intended to help you understand our practices in light of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and related guidance from the National Privacy Commission (NPC). This page is an informational notice about our product practices; it is not a substitute for formal legal advice.

2. Who we are

TollPH operates a browser-based toll fee estimator for major Luzon expressways such as NLEX, SLEX, Skyway, SCTEX, TPLEX, CAVITEX, CALAX, STAR, NAIAX, MCX, and related corridors. The Service provides estimates for trip planning and RFID preparation. It does not process payments for tolls and is not an official TRB, DPWH, or concessionaire portal.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you provide while using the calculator

When you calculate a toll, you may select or enter route details such as origin plaza, destination plaza, vehicle class, and round-trip preference. These inputs are used to compute an estimate in your browser. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your full name, government ID, or payment card to use the calculator.

3.2 Technical and device information

Like most websites, our hosting provider or content delivery network may automatically receive standard server logs. Depending on how the site is hosted, logs can include IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages requested, and timestamps. We use this type of data for security, reliability, and abuse prevention—not to sell personal profiles.

3.3 Preferences stored on your device

The Service may store limited preferences in your browser (for example, theme preference) using local storage or similar browser features. This data stays on your device unless you clear site data.

3.4 Communications

If you email us or contact us another way, we will receive the information you include in that message (such as your email address and the content of your inquiry) so we can respond.

3.5 What we do not intentionally collect

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (as defined under Philippine law) to operate the calculator. Please do not submit unnecessary sensitive data through contact channels.

4. How we use information

We use information for the following purposes:

• to provide, maintain, and improve the toll calculator and related content;
• to remember basic interface preferences;
• to diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and keep the Service secure;
• to respond to your questions or feedback;
• to comply with applicable law or lawful requests; and
• to understand aggregate usage patterns so we can improve accuracy and usability.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use calculator route selections to serve third-party behavioral advertising profiles.

5. Cookies, local storage & analytics

The Service may use:

• Essential browser storage — for example, remembering light/dark preference or similar UI settings.
• Security and hosting cookies — if our host or CDN sets strictly necessary cookies to deliver the site safely.
• Optional analytics — if we later enable a privacy-respecting analytics tool, we will update this Policy and describe what is measured. Until then, treat analytics as limited to standard hosting logs unless a specific tool notice appears on the site.

You can clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Doing so may reset preferences.

6. Sharing & third parties

We may share information only in these limited situations:

• Service providers — hosting, domain, security, or email infrastructure providers that process data on our instructions.
• Legal reasons — when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the Service.
• Business transfers — if TollPH assets are transferred, information may move as part of that transaction under continued confidentiality expectations.

Outbound links (for example, to TRB or mapping apps) are operated by third parties with their own privacy practices. Review those policies before sharing data with them.

7. Retention & security

Calculator inputs processed only in your browser are retained according to your device settings. Server logs, if collected by our host, are typically kept for a limited operational period (often days to a few months) unless a longer period is needed for security investigations or legal compliance.

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a small informational web tool. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use the Service accordingly.

8. Your rights under the Data Privacy Act

If you are a data subject under Philippine law, you may have rights to be informed, to object, to access, to correct, to erasure or blocking, to damages (where applicable), and to data portability, subject to the Act and its rules. To exercise a request related to personal data we hold about you (for example, an email you sent us), contact us using Section 11. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

9. Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for general trip planning by adults and older teens who can understand road and payment information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, features, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we publish revisions. Continued use of the Service after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
